Well now. i'm back from DC!!!!! first off i guess....The TRIP!! dee Dee DEEs wat else???
ok so rite into it...
first arrival of the nite. some church in ludlow (i kno its badd i don't kno where but there was too much church talk and i forgot) so after being there about 45 mins early we waited another 45 for the bus to show up and on we boarded.
me and meghan sat together. of course i like to talk so i did with juliet and alex and meghan, etc. etc. and the nice church ladies... then i was asleep and then i woke up and did the nite stop thing. its amazing how much it suks to sleep on a peter pan bus.
so we arrived about 9ish in the am after the long bus ride in DC. [beatiful sunrise by the way] and we straight to the arena and after awhile finally found some seats.
the Mass was amazing.
[side note....mom freaked out b/c we were on the fourth floor and she's way afraid of heights so she sat in the handicapped area with bridget b/c it wasn't so close to the edge. kinda funny but kinda scary.]
25,000 ppl attended as well as priests (over a hundred i'm sure) bishops, archbishops, and a couple cardinals. think about it tho - how many people can say they went to a Mass with Cardinals there??? MEEEEEEEEEE...!!! muhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaha
anyways...there were two very important messages read to us. one from president Bush and one from the Pope. mannnn it was crazy. of course they were addressing abortion and the reasons why we were there.
after the Mass we all went out to china town and got some chow. i rlly couldn't believe that lil place could hold so many ppl. we had a group of about 35.
so then we headed out and began the march to another rally. of course with the size of my bladder and the tea, water, and coke newly in my system thanks to chinese food i had to go. i kinda missed the speeches b/c it took forever to find a bathroom but we did make it in time to march.
the march was humungo and i was surprised to see so many young people. the energy was just bananas (and nut bread. lol.) i can't wait to go back next yr {tho we shouldn't have to if they vote pro-life which they should} but if i do i'll be sure to be more convincing and get more ppl there. it was rlly a moving experience.
then we went home after visiting the senate house and seeing karey and kennedy. another long bus ride. didn't even get home til 2:30. me and meg slept in that day and now i have a lot of hw to do.......
if u wanna kno more about the walk for life just get at me.
